“I think we got our money's worth out of this roof.”

— Don Dubena, Assistant Director of Building and Grounds, Baldwin Wallace University

SITUATION: Lou Higgins Recreational Center at Baldwin Wallace University is the epicenter of student activity, and experiences heavy foot traffic year-round. The university, located in Berea, Ohio, is exposed to all four seasons, which makes it necessary to have a robust, durable roof. Installed in 1985 over the preexisting deck layer, the 29,000+ sq. ft. FiberTite Roofing System by Seaman Corporation is still standing strong today. “This has been one of the better roofs I've had on campus here,” Dubena said. “As far as the snow and the wind, I think it has held up well.” Watch this video to learn more:

“When we bid out the project using metal on the roofs, it came in over budget. The green color of the Sika Sarnafil vinyl roof gave us the look of aged copper which was exactly what we had in mind. More importantly, the owners would get the long-term, proven performance they required,” – Robert Marz, president, Roth Marz Partnership.
